Divorce Attorneys in Williamsville & Buffalo, NY
Two dedicated family law attorneys — complementary expertise, one focused firm

Pieter G. Weinrieb, Esq.
Founding Attorney | Certified Mediator | 20+ Years in Family Law
Pieter Weinrieb founded Weinrieb Law in 2011 with a singular mission: to provide families facing their most difficult legal challenges with skilled, compassionate representation grounded in both legal expertise and a genuine understanding of human behavior. More than a decade later, that mission remains unchanged.
Pieter has dedicated his entire legal career exclusively to divorce and family law. He is a 42-hour certified family and divorce mediator — meaning he can represent you in court or help you reach resolution without it, depending on what your case requires. He serves on the Attorney for the Child panels in Erie and Niagara Counties, giving him direct insight into how courts evaluate parenting and what factors judges actually weigh in custody determinations.

Katrina M. Loss focuses her practice on the areas of family law that most directly affect children and families in crisis. Katrina graduated from the University at Buffalo School of Law with a concentration in family law and served as a student attorney in the Family Violence and Women’s Rights Clinic, where she represented domestic violence victims in custody and family offense matters. A Genuine Two-Attorney Firm
Many small law firms rely heavily on support staff and paralegals, with one overextended attorney spread across dozens of files. Weinrieb Law is different. With two attorneys who communicate closely and collaborate on client strategy, you receive the benefit of both their experience on your case — without being handed off to someone you never met.
Pieter and Katrina bring complementary strengths: Pieter’s litigation depth and certified mediation training, combined with Katrina’s focus on custody, family offense, and support matters. Together, they cover the full spectrum of what a family law case requires.
