Pieter Weinrieb founded Weinrieb Law in 2011 with a singular mission: to provide families facing their most difficult legal challenges with skilled, compassionate representation grounded in both legal expertise and a genuine understanding of human behavior. Pieter has dedicated his entire legal career exclusively to divorce and family law. He is a 42-hour certified family and divorce mediator — meaning he can represent you in court or help you reach resolution without it, depending on what your case requires. He serves on the Attorney for the Child panels in Erie and Niagara Counties, giving him direct insight into how courts evaluate parenting and what factors judges actually weigh in custody determinations.

Katrina M. Loss focuses her practice on the areas of family law that most directly affect children and families in crisis. She is known for being a genuinely empathetic listener and a tenacious advocate — qualities that are especially important in custody and family offense proceedings where the human stakes are highest.
Katrina graduated from the University at Buffalo School of Law with a concentration in family law and served as a student attorney in the Family Violence and Women’s Rights Clinic, where she represented domestic violence victims in custody and family offense matters. That direct clinical experience shaped an approach to these cases that combines legal rigor with real sensitivity to how difficult circumstances affect families and children.
